Church History
White lick Presbyterian Church History
A group of Scottish Presbyterians founded White Lick Presbyterian Church
in 1851 and called the Reverend B.F. Cole of Cincinnati as their first
pastor.
The church met in the homes of the members for the first four years
until a simple frame structure was built in 1856. The present
brick sanctuary was built in 1881 with bricks fired in a kiln with clay
dug from the White Lick Creek. Additions were built to accommodate
the growing congregation in the 1950's and 1960's. The church
completed construction of a new fellowship hall, library/media center
and offices in the fall of 2004.
The year 2001 marked the 150th anniversary for this beautiful "Church
in the Wildwood."
Please join us as we reach out to the growing community in the name of
Jesus Christ.
