Presbyterian Women
Ministry
Purpose
The purpose of the Presbyterian Women ministry
is to be forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by
the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves:
- To nurture our faith through prayer and
Bible Study,
- To support the mission of the church
worldwide,
- To work for justice and peace,
- To build an inclusive, caring community of
women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A) and
witness to the promise of God’s kingdom.
History
Our church PW ministry was organized in 1948
and was originally called the Whitelick Booster Society. The
pastor at this time, Ira Stock knew that the women of the church
could perform miracles and accomplish the impossible. The women
organized ice cream socials, bake sales, bazaars, rug weaving and
quilting meetings to raise money for the church.

Mother/Daughter/Friend
Salad and Dessert Supper
Attention all women! Mark Your Calendars –
Monday May 17th at 6:00 p.m. at Whitelick Presbyterian
Church. Why? Do you like food, fellowship and fun? If you do that
will be the place to go. It is the annual Presbyterian Women’s
Mother/Daughter/Friend salad and dessert supper. All women are
invited to come and, if possible, bring your mom, daughter, sister,
aunt, niece, granddaughter or any other “girl” in your life, and
enjoy an evening with the girls.
We will start eating at 6:00 p.m. Please bring
a covered dish (salad or dessert) which will be shared and enjoyed
along with a generous portion of fellowship. You can even eat your
dessert first and no one will tell on you!
After the meal there will be a time of sharing.
We invite you to participate by reading a poem, a story, a song or
the sharing of a “memory” you have of a girl or woman who has had an
impact on your life. If you are interested in being included in the
time of sharing, please contact Beth Harmon at 317-745-6001 (please
leave a message if there is no answer) or by email at
harmonbt@aol.com.
The evening will conclude by 8:00 p.m. since it
is a school/work night. This is a wonderful opportunity to spend
time getting to know each other and sharing some fun. Please come to
the party!
PW meets the third Monday of the month,
7:00-8:30PM, usually at the church. We would like to invite
all the women of Whitelick Presbyterian Church to come to PW. You
don’t have to be a member of the church to belong to PW or help with
any of our activities.

They have arrived!- Whitelick Presbyterian
Church commemorative plates and mugs. Would you like to
have a plate with two pictures of Whitelick Presbyterian Church on
it or a mug with a picture of the church on it also? PW is selling
plates with a picture of the church before the addition and after
addition. The plates also have the history of the church on
the back. Please plan on buying a plate, or a mug or both.
These will make a wonderful and lasting gift for yourself or others.
